WHO THEY ARE

The Markham Group is a full-service public affairs, issue advocacy, and events firm that works with companies, corporations, and non-profit foundations around the world. Whether it be political campaigns, national events, or protecting client interests, the Markham Group works tirelessly to ensure success.
ROLE AS PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN​

In my role as public relations and events intern with the Markham Group, I took on a variety of tasks and duties. These included, but were not limited to, running social media accounts for various clients, compiling and contacting media outlets, aiding in event planning, and attending weekly events. Additionally, I was in charge of shipping out event materials via FedEx and performing research on grassroots efforts for clients.

In July 2016, I traveled with the company to the Republican National Convention for our clients, Nuns on the Bus and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). For both, my role was to ensure that events ran smoothly and to assist in any way needed (such as transportation, venue walk-through's, meeting with production companies, etc.) Upon return to Washington, D.C. I resumed work on materials for the Democratic National Convention and assisting on coordinating the travel and accommodations of clients while at the Convention.
